Our History
Patricia Nemeth founded the Law Offices of Patricia Nemeth, P.C. in 1992. In 1994, Linda G. Burwell joined the firm in an of counsel capacity. The Firm changed its name to Nemeth Burwell, P.C. in 1998 when Ms. Nemeth and Ms. Burwell became co-owners. They continue to run the Firm today while maintaining an impressive client roster and serving as community and business leaders.
Nemeth Burwell, P.C. has grown steadily over the years through the formation of a diverse and satisfied client base and the addition of partners, associates and support staff all dedicated to serving clients in the niche areas of employment litigation, traditional labor law and management consultation. Nemeth Burwell is now the largest woman-owned law firm in Michigan to exclusively represent management in the prevention, resolution and litigation of labor and employment disputes.
The Firm attributes its growth and success to focusing on one common goal - putting the client first. From high quality legal services and professional communication of information to timely responses to client inquiries, we do everything we can to anticipate client needs and exceed client expectations.
Nemeth Burwell’s growth has afforded us the opportunity to expand beyond our Detroit base to serve clients regionally, nationally and internationally. Moving forward, we will continue to be an independent boutique firm working with employers to prevent, resolve, and litigate employment disputes, regardless of employer size, industry or location.
